Because of the hard water in Vegas, white calcium begins to build upon your tile. The calcium creates an ugly crusty line all along the tile line of your pool. Oftentimes people have the misconception that their pool isn't being taken care of properly when this calcium line appears. The truth of the matter is, there isn't anything you can do to prevent it! We often tell people that they can minimize the build-up by simply rubbing it with a pumice stone or a razor blade, but even that won't make it disappear.
